Winkie is really a shy little fellow, but with lots of patience, TLC and treats he has the potential to be come a happy little fellow in his new home. He's lived with other dogs, so a canine friend may be helpful to him.

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Winkie (shelter #134931). He is a sweet and shy guy who's just looking for his forever home. He will need a home that is patient and will help him adjust to his new life. Winkie will need help with leash training and potty training. If given the time Winkie will be a very loving and loyal companion. He has lived with multiple dogs in his previous home and may enjoy having a canine companion in his new home. Because he has never been around children, Winkie may do best in an adult only home or one with older children. You can meet him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday to Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday to Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

Winkie’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam and plenty of post adoption support. Availability is subject to prior adoption.
