Walter: Oregon Humane Society's Cat of the Day

As you can see Walter likes something soft and his size to curl up in! He's a handsome fellow looking for a quiet home where he can be the only cat and folks will give him time to settle in as they spoil him and tell him what a great cat he is and how much they will love him! Soon he will believe it and return the love to them.

The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Walter. He is a handsome gent that is a bit timid, but once he settles in he does enjoy gentle pets and love. He would make a wonderful lap cat and even though he is quite friendly, he needs to go to a quiet, low-stress environment where he's the only animal. He's been dreaming of having a special person in his life to shower him with attention and tell him what a sweet boy he is! Change is pretty hard for Walter and he will need a bit of time to adjust to a new home. If you think you could be his loving, patient companion, come spend time with him! Although he is currently living with other cats in Bettys Playhouse we feel he would be happiest as the only cat so he could receive all of the attention and not have to be concerned about another cat wanting to play with his tail while he is taking his afternoon nap! You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half prior to closing each day.

Walter qualifies for the senior adoption fee of $12 which includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
