The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Walrus (95737). He seems to be oblivious of his small size and he is always eager for an adventure. He was transferred to the Oregon Humane Society from the Merced County Animal Control in California through our Second Chance Program so we could help him find a new home. This little one year old Chihuhua is energetic and very clever. He will make someone a fantastic lap dog if given the time to adjust to his new family and surroundings. Walrus is affectionate with his caregivers, but he can be suspicious of strangers. We are recommending an adult home or one with older, respectful children. If a lap dog or travel companion is what you are looking for, then Walrus is the right match for you. Come meet him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. The adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
