Tuffy is a eight year old Pomeranian who might do best as the only dog in the family. A pet met would be essential prior to adoption if there is a current canine companion.

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Tuffy (shelter #140932). This handsome Pomeranian is a sweet and easy going fellow that is searching for a nice quiet home to call his own. He enjoys going for walks, hanging out with people, and just enjoying life in general! He will do best in a home with older children who understand that he prefers to just spend time together and may not want to play all the time. Tuffy is an older fellow and can be picky about how he is picked up so it will take time for him to feel comfortable with his new companions. This good looking man is a great pooch to have by your side as you watch TV or have him join you in taking walks around the neighborhood.  You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

Tuffy’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!  The Oregon Humane Society special adoption fee of $50 for all dogs one year and older continues through Friday, January 18th. Tuffy would qualify for this discount. Availability is subject to prior adoption.
