We know Trixie enjoys playing with other dogs as she is with lots of dogs of all sizes and breeds each day that come to day care at Lexi Dog. She also likes to go on outdoor adventures with her people.

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Trixie. She is a 4 year old Beagle/Basset Hound mix and is at our Westside Adoption Center which is located at Lexi Dog Boutique and Day Care on 6100 SW Macadam Ave. Portland 503-327-8219. She is sweet, and a bit shy at first, but it's so worth taking the time to get to know her, we promise!  Trixie is looking for a home that will give her plenty of time to settle in and get used to her new environment and people. It will be best that her new home be cat-free and one with older children that can respect her space. Until now Trixie has not lived with other dogs, but has been doing well with the dogs at Lexi dog for play time, however feeding had been in her own area. Once she is comfortable she loves to spend every one moment with her people, but Trixie can become overstimulated easily once she has settled in. She enjoys outdoor activities and going on fun adventures, but will need to be kept on leash while exploring the great outdoors as Trixie likes to explore on her own.Visiting and adoption hours are Monday-Friday 10-6 and Saturday-Sunday from 10-4.

The Oregon Humane Society has a special promotion to encourage people to adopt a pet from a shelter and to remember the joy and light a pet can bring to your home. The adoption fee for all cats and dogs one year of age and older is half price for Friday-Sunday (April 26-28).

Trixie’s adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
