This handsome Boxer mix is four years old and would benefit from an owner that works from home or was able to take him to work as he does not care to be left alone. In his previous home he lived with other dogs and children. Come visit this energetic fellow today!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Theo. He's a sweet and energetic Boxer/Hungarian Vizsla that is looking for his forever home! In his previous home, he has lived with male and female dogs and did well with both. He also lived with children and we recommend older, dog-savvy children that will be able to handle his energy and zest for life! Theo does not like being left alone, and would benefit from a patient owner that works from home or can take him to work with them. Theo has also proven to be a bit of a Houdini and would need close supervision in the yard and could not be left alone. Theo is a very friendly and energetic boy waiting for that right fit. A training consult is included prior to adoption. Come visit with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat. Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.

Theo’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.

Dogs are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside at Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. If you want know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. OHS dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility.  Kittens are also available for adoption here and they all live in "colony rooms" with their fellow felines. Visiting and adoption hours for both dogs and kittens are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday at the Westside Adoption Center.

Every Tuesday the Oregon Humane Society offers an adoption special for people age 60 and up. A select group of 20 pets will be available for adoption to seniors at no charge every Tuesday. All other pets will have their adoption fees reduced by $50 when they are adopted by individuals over 60 on Tuesday.
