The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Surfer (shelter #136789). He loves attention and he doesn’t mind if you want to shower him with all your love, in fact, he prefers it! All Surfer wants to do is find a place to call his own. He is an intelligent and energetic guy that needs regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and healthy.  Surfer is a seven year old Pumi mix. Pumis are a terrier type of herding and/or watch dogs and learn quickly and enjoy having a job to do. They have a coat that that doesn’t shed, but will come out with combing. They tend to be very affectionate but can bond to just one person in the family if that person is the only one who spends time with them.  Surfer is ready to become your best buddy and be active with you. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10am to 7pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10am to 9pm on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half prior to closing each day.

Surfer’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
