The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Sinatra (shelter #139745). He is a very handsome one year old Mini Pinscher mix who is looking forward to finding a lifelong home with people who love and respect me for who he is and will become once he's feeling safe and secure in his new home. At that time Sinatra will show his love to you, but getting to that point might require some patience and understanding on your part. He came to the Portland Metro area as a part of the Oregon Humane Society's Second Chance Program from the LA, California area so we could help him find a home over the holiday season. He will need a home with adults only, or with older dog savvy children who can understand Sinatra's need for time for himself and not to "push" him when I we he is worried. Sinatra seems to like other dogs about his size so a canine friend might help him adjust to a new living situation. We do not know much about his previous life, but he came to us very thin and some good, nutritious meals are going to be important. You can meet with Sinatra (As of this writing he's in the Blue pod #82) at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are Sunday-Wednesday from 10 to 7; and Thursday-Saturday 10 to 9. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing.
Sinatra's special December Holiday adoption fee of $50 includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
