The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Shiba. She is a sweet, smart and stunning three year old German Shepherd Mix. Shiba came to us as part of a rescue, and has had a rough couple months and now she is ready to move forward with her life in a Shepherd experienced home. She learns quickly, she has become quite the ball fetcher! Shiba has also learned the basics of sit, down and stay. She will do best in an adult only home and as the one and only pet! With some guidance, time for adjustment and a little love, we know Shiba will make a great companion for someone. A training consultation is included prior to her adoption. You can meet with her today at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 and Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half prior to closing each day. The Oregon Humane Society has a special promotion from April 26-28 and the adoption fee for all cats and dogs one year of age and older is half price.

Shiba’s adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
