The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Santa (shelter #137928). He is a very happy three year old Terrier mix. Santa is a very active and loving little fellow. He came to the Oregon Humane Society as from the Baldwin Park LA Animal Shelter as a part of our Second Chance Program. A part of his paper work says the terrier may be Parson or Jack Russell and many folks that have seen him think there may be a bit of Doxie in the length of his body. But everyone agrees that whatever he is makes him a great dog that seems to like everyone he meets: adults, children and other dogs. He enjoys having lap time and will happily snuggle there, but he equally enjoys meeting new people. Santa will have a great time accompanying you on a walk, but does need some training in how to do this gentlemanly manner. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption time ends one half hour prior to closing each day.
