The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Sundance (115641). He is a very happy and loving five year old Siberian Huskey Mix. . Sundance is in need of an active home that can provide him with plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation. Sundance will do best in a home that has experience with his breed. His new companion will need to provide him with consistent and positive training, especially if you want him to stick around and not enjoy the great outdoors all on his own. Since Sundance came to OHS through our Second Chance Program we have little history on him and are unsure of what type of home he lived in before. Because of this he would like to meet all members of his new home prior to adoption and will need a slow introduction to any new furry companions. We do know that someone loved him and worked with him to learn "sit, down and shake" (actually likes the word 'paw" used for shake. Sundance also enjoys walks and walks well on a leash. Since he has been with us we have found that he seems to get along well with other dogs of all sizes, likes adults, and children around eight years and older who can be respectable of his space. You can meet with Sundance at the Oregon Humane Soviety, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722) www.oregonhumane.org.
His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
