The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Simon Frost (119869).  He is an active five year old Siberian Husky mix who loves to run but who also has a good head on his shoulders and knows how to "sit" and "down."  Simon Frost loves to run so very much that he sometimes runs off on his own if given the opportunity.  He's the type of guy who needs to be on leash for walks around the neighborhood and hikes in the woods.  He's lived with kids and other dogs before, but we recommend he find a cat-free home with older children and those savvy enough to handle his bursts of energy and occasional need for space.  As with all of the shelter dogs a pet meet with any canine friend in a potential home is required prior to adoption.  Simon Frost is currently living at our WESTSIDE ADOPTION CENTER at Lexi Dog on 6200 SW Macadam Ave., Portland (503-245-4363).  He gets along with the other Humane Society dogs as well as the dogs who come in each day for day care.  He's hoping youll be his home for the holidays, and all the days thereafter!

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!   Availability is subject to prior adoption.
