The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Sidney (116467). He is an active three year old Jack Russell Terrier and Chinese Crested Dog mix who is looking for a walking partner in life. He can be a little shy at first but the best way to his heart is taking home for a long walk. Sidney is not used to the city sights and sounds and will need time to adjust to them. Once he is comfortable you will see his funny, adventurous, action-packed side. We also think you should know he truly loves his cookies and his toys. He loves to sniff and has taken part of a K-9 Nose Work Training. Sidney is the type of dog that likes to be by your side and go for long walks with you, but he is not a big fan of being hugged and cuddled. Sidney does not appear to like other dogs much so we recommend he be the only dog in his home. He came to us from the Baldwin Park L.A. Shelter through our Second Chance Program to find his new home in the Pacific NW. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday through Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday throught Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing.
Sidney's adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
