Ruger is a five year old Jack Russell Terrier that is a 2nd Chance dog and just wants an adult home where it is somewhat quiet and he can be the only dog in the household. He enjoys spending as much time as possible with his people and can use some daily walks to help him shed a few pounds. Visit with him at the Oregon Humane Society!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Ruger. He  is an easy going five year old Jack Russell Terrier who is looking for a quiet home to settle into. His ideal home would be relaxed and not have too many visitors. Ruger is going to need an adult only home where he can be the only pet. He enjoys going on walks and romping in the yard. Ruger loves to ride in the car and knows some of his basic commands. This little guy as you can see, isn't so little and will benefit from an owner who will keep him on a regular exercise routine and a weight loss plan. If you are interested in a companion who will bond closely with you and be your best friend for life Ruger might be your guy. A training consultation is included prior to his adoption. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are Mon-Wed 10-7 and Thurs-Sat 10-9. Adoption hours are Mon-Wed 10-6:30 and Thurs-Sat 10-8:30.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
