This lucky fellow just spent 2 month recovering from injuries in an Oregon Humane Society foster home and now is looking for his forever home. He'll need time to adjust slowly as he's a bit timid at first and may do best as the only pet. But give him some time for his real personality to show! The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Rigoletto. This five year old fellow is a bit timid at first and would prefer a quiet home where he can adjust at his own pace. He came to us with some serious injuries and spent about two months getting loving care in a foster home while he recovered. He loves to explore his surroundings and find new places to nap. Rigoletto needs some confidence building in his new home to help him blossom into a happy and confident cat. He might be happiest as the only pet. Rigoletto is a wonderful little lad who is sure to bring a ray of sunshine to any home. Meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are Sun-Wed 10-7; Thurs-Sat 10-9. Adoption hours are Sun-Wed 10-6:30; Thurs-Sat-10-8:30. His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, 30 days free PetPlan health insurance and plenty of post adoption support. Availability is subject to prior adoption. Cats and kittens are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club located at 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. They all live Dogs are also available at this location and they spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility. If you want to know if your potential new bet friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. Adoption and viewing hours for both cats and dogs are 10-6 on Monday-Friday; and 10-4 on Saturday-Sunday. Every Tuesday the Oregon Humane Society offers an adoption special for people age 60 and up. A select group of 20 pets will be available for adoption to seniors at no charge every Tuesday. All other pets will have their adoption fees reduced by $50 when they are adopted by individuals over 60 on Tuesday.
