Precious is just what her name says. But like all puppies she not only needs a loving home, but one that promises to provide her with care and training to help her become a great canine citizen and well rounded member of your family!

The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Precious who is an adorable, playful four month old Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix puppy. She will need a home that can provide for her the time and energy it takes raising a puppy and guide her to grow up to be a fantastic canine citizen. Puppies are incredibly cute but they need guidance, commitment and a whole lot of patience. Like all puppies, Precious will need continued socialization, help with house-training and outlets for her youthful energy. We highly recommend taking Precious through a puppy class where she can start learning basic manners, meet other people and dogs. At the the Oregon Humane Society we offer classes and are happy to help you with all of your training needs and questions. We also recommend crate-training your new puppy and have a crate rental program available, please inquire at the front desk for further information. If you truly are ready for a puppy then this great puppy is ready for you! You can meet Precious at 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. Visiting Hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday: and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half prior to closing each day.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!  Availability is subject to prior adoption.
