Ask to see Pebbles in Orange Room 1! She is sweet, but shy, and will be worth the time it takes for her to get used to her new home. Pebbles will need a large sized bed as she weighs 91 lbs! So there will be lots of her to love as she adjusts to her new living situation as the only pet.

The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Pebbles. She is a sweet but shy lady seven year old Chow Chow/Shepherd mix who is looking for someone to love. Pebbles may not be the type of canine who comes running up to meet you immediately, but give her time to get to know you and you will see her true colors blossom. It may take her a little time to adjust to her new environment, but with encouragement and patience she will fit right in. Pebbles takes time to bond to her person and doesn't always like to share her space and things, her person included. We recommend that Pebbles go to a dog-experienced home with older children and no other pets. If you've been looking for a sweet older gal to give a wonderful life to, Pebbles is just the dog for you! You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday; adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

Pebbles adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
