The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Puppy Man (117936). He is definitely not a puppy anymore, but he still likes his name and he is a nine year old Maltese and Miniature Poodle mix. He is feeling very uncertain at the shelter, especially since he has been in his previous home all his life. Puppy Man's previous companion passed away, so he and his best friend Gizmo (# 117935) are now looking for a new home. Although they are not bonded, they would love to go home together, as they do best when they are together. Puppy Man has gotten less tolerant in his old age, and will need to find a home without children, where he can have peace and quiet for his retirement. When he has settled in, Puppy Man will make a great lap dog, and he enjoys going for walks in the neighborhood as well. A training consultation is included prior to Puppy Man's adoption to help you learn all about him. You can meet him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). Hours for adoption are Sunday - Wednesday 10 am to 6:30 pm and Thursday -Saturday 10 am to 8:30 pm.
Puppy Man's adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support. Availability is subject to prior adoption.
