The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Princess (117754). She is a loving and shy three year old Labrador/Siberian Husky mix who is looking for a human to spoil her and help build her confidence. We don't know a lot about her history, and we recommend she go to a cat and livestock free home. She would also do best with older children or adults only as she can be overwhelmed and is not comfortable being hugged or held. She may have been an outdoor dog but is now looking to move indoors. Princess is learning how to walk on a leash with confidence and is scared of slippery flooring and walking through doors. She will also need assistance with housetraining and other basic manners. So if you are looking for a loving friend to spend your winter evenings with, then Princess could be the one to rule your castle. You can visit with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). Adoption hours are Sunday-Wednesday 10 am to 6:30 pm and Thursday-Friday 10 am to 8:30 pm.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
