The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Pepina (115545). She is an active eight year old Greyhound mix who still has plenty of energy left in her. She will need someone who can provide her with a home and/or yard that she will not be able to get out of easily--she has been known to be very successful at getingt out. We recommend that Pepina find a home with older children who can understand older dogs' boundaries. She enjoys spending lots of time with you and will show you as much love as she has in her. If you are searching for a friend to share daily walks, take trips to the park, and enjoy those nice easy nights at home. If you find yourself wishing you had a canine friend to love and show affection to, then Pepina is waiting to make that wish come true! Be sure to read about the canine escape artist. Pepina would also do best in a cat-free, and small-animal-free home. You can meet with her at the Oreogn Humane Socieity, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). We are open Sunday through Wednesday 10 am to 7 pm and Thursday through Saturday 10 am to 9 pm. www.oregonhumane.org.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
