The Oregon Humane Society's Cat of the Day is Pegasus (120611). She is one of the cats from a recent investigation case. She was removed from a hoarding situation and then brought here for some much needed rest, TLC and an opportunity to start a new life. Pegasus is a seven year old lady will require some special consideration in your home because of her past living situation. Since she has been with us she has made great progress in coming out of her shell and begining to understand the life of a pampered pet. Pegasus will need everyone in her new home to be patient and understanding with as she slowly adapts to you and to her new environment. Confining her to a quiet room with a litter box, food, toys and water will help me feel safe as she slowly settle into my new life with you. If there are children in her new home it is important that they are old enough to understand her background and give her the space and independence she will need to adjust to her new home. You can be the one to show her the good life! Come meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday through Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday throug Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour to closing each day.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
