The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day Nessie. She is a five year old Lhasa Apso fluffy bundle of love on four legs! She is hoping you're the best friend for life she came all the way from California to find her forever home with.  Add her to your life, and you can have a great time together: going for walks, playing fun games, learning new tricks, and just hanging out together. Nessie is ready to become your best friend and she is always ready to make new friends, and greet a smiling face and gentle touch with wiggles and wags. You can visit with this exceptional gal at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat. Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.

Nessie’s adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.

Dogs are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside at Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. If you want know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. OHS dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility.  Kittens are also available for adoption here and they all live in "colony rooms" with their fellow felines. Visiting and adoption hours for both dogs and kittens are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday at the Westside Adoption Center.
