The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Mr. Jimi Poppers. He is currently at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside at Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. If you want know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. OHS dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility. Here he romps and plays all day with the other dogs in doggy daycare so I might be a great fit with your canine family members! Mr Poppers is a five year old Plott Hound/Labrador mix. He is described as a little bit shy, a little bit silly and a whole lot of cute, Mr. Jimi Poppers is all that and then some! He will benefit from daily activities and exercise. He enjoys having something to do and being with his family. Mr. Jimi Poppers needs to find a home with adults only or much older kids as loud noises and sudden movements make him nervous. When you bring him home, he'll need to learn that it is okay to be on his own, as that can be worrisome for him. A little training and practice will surely help! If you have previous dog experience, lead an active lifestyle, and are looking for that special canine companion to love and adore, ask to visit with Mr. Jimi Poppers today! His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
Kittens are also available at this location. They live in “colony” rooms with fellow felines. Visiting and adoption hours for dogs and cats are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday at the Westside Adoption Center.
