The beautiful kitty is through being a mother and now is ready to have a life of her own. She's still under two years old so has lots of time to learn about being spoiled! She may do best as the only pet, or with a low key dog. Come visit her today!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Miss Mother Mayfield.  She got that name because she came into the shelter with her litter of adorable kittens. Now her kittens are all grown up now they no longer need her watchful eye. She we are helping her to find a home. Mother Mayfield can be very demure about her excitement. Sometimes she comes across as shy and disinterested but if you give her enough time and space she will eventually show you how much she enjoys attention. Her foster parent had a large dog in her home and she wasn't too sure about the idea. She might do best in a dog-free home, or one with a low key dog. You can meet her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat.  Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.

Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.

Kittens are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside of Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. Here they all live in "colony rooms" with their fellow felines. Dogs are available at this location also.  They spend their days in a large group area with other dogs. Viewing and adoption hours for kittens and dogs are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday.
