The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Melvin (shelter # 137545). He is a shy senior Chihuahua mix who takes a while in adjusting to new situations. He will need a home that can be patient with him and help him feel at home in his new surroundings with support, encouragement and lots of treats! Melvin enjoys being close to you and will want to be a part of what you are doing while he becomes a member of the home. He will make a great lap companion and be more than willing to join you on the couch or in bed whenever he gets the chance. Melvin can't wait to be a part of something special.
