The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Max (shelter #126753). He is a shy three year old Labrador who is still learning to be confident and trusting of strangers entering his home. He will need a low traffic home, one without a lot of people coming and going and one that is willing to take things slow when new people visit. Max will also need a home with older, mature children who understand that he startles easily and does not like fast movements. Max will also need to be the only dog in the home. He is a sweet boy who likes to spend time with his people. He will enjoy a place that allows him to settle in and be pampered like every canine should be. A training consultation is included prior to Max's adoption so you will have the best start to your new life together. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and10 am to 9 pm Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.
His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
