The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Mara. She is a sweet four year old American Pit Bull looking for a fun home to settle into. She is happy, loves to get massages and she's also active but does settle down and enjoys napping in cozy, soft places. She has begun crate training and would do best if this were continued in her new home. Mara will need a home where she is the only pet with no cats, dogs, Guinea Pigs, etc.  Older children are recommended due to her size and energy level. A training consult is included prior to her adoption. You can meet her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption time ends one half hour prior to closing each day.

The adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarina exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
