The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Marty (112679) He is a happy five year old Wirehaired Terier mix who is content to spend time next to his person but he doesn't want to be fussed over. He will need to go to an adult-only home or one with teenagers who can respect his space as he is a small dog weighing in at a bit over eight pounds. Marty takes some time to get comfortable and is content doing his own thing, but once he gets to know you he will happily sit at your feet. He likes to play, he walks well on a leash, and he has lots of personality. Marty can be picky about his canine friends and may do best as the only dog in the household. If you already have a canine companion in your home Marty would like to meet them before going home with you. He came to the Oregon Humane Society through our Second Chance Program from the Bonnie Hayes Shelter and is ready to settle down in his forever home. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-258-7722) www.oregonhumane.org.
His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
