The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Marilyn (117316). She is an adorable, playful two month old Alaskan Malamute/Border Collie mix puppy. She will need a home that can provide her with the time and energy it takes to raise a puppy so that she develops into a fantastic canine citizen. Puppies are incredibly cute but they need guidance, commitment and a whole lot of patience. Like all puppies, Marilyn will need continued socialization, help with house-training and an outlet for her youthful energy. We highly recommend taking Marilyn through a puppy class where she can start learning basic manners and meet other people and dogs. At the Oregon Humane Society we offer classes and are happy to help you with all of your training needs and questions. We also recommend crate-training your new puppy and we have a crate rental program here. Please inquire at the front desk. If you truly are ready for a puppy then Marilyn is ready for you! You can meet with this adorable young puppy at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). Hours are Sunday - Wednesday 10am to 7pm; and Thursday through Saturday 10am to 9pm.
Marilyn's adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
