The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Manny (117761). "I'm a man on a mission: a mission to find my forever home. I love to do the things normal dogs love to do, but sometimes I get worried about new situations and new people. This means that my new person will be someone who has only older, dog-savvy children and is willing to take things slowly with me, not forcing me into potentially overwhelming situations. I'm not going to be Mr. Super Snuggles right off the bat, but if you can understand I have reason for being the way I am, and if you give me time and space, I will come out of my shell and be a great companion for you. I guess you could compare me to a piece of tarnished metal; I need a bit of time to be polished, but given that, I'm sure to shine." Manny is a 6 1/2 year old Mini Pinscher Mix. You can meet with Manny at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-25-7722).
The adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
