The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Mandy (111086). She is a sweet, loving one year and two months old Border Collie mix who is looking for her new special people. She is playful, happy, eager and ready to please. Mandy is young and has lots of energy; continued training and socialization will help her learn the ropes in her new home. Since she is still working on her training and basic manners her energy can be a bit much for small children as she weighs 66 pounds, so she will need to find a home with older children who can handle her size and enthusiasm. We recommend that Mandy not go to a home with cats, she has not lived with them before and with her energy level, it may be too much. It would benefit the potential adopters greatly if you have breed experience. She is ready for her next adventure in life... is it going to be with you? You can visit with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722). We are open Sunday through Wednesday from 10 am to 7 pm; and on Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 9pm.
Mandy's adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption
