The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Livi. She is a very sweet Mini Australian Shepherd mix who is shy and will continue to be cautious around new people and new situations. Livi will be protective of her owner and as a herding dog may try to herd children and other animals. She knows stay and off and will wait politely for her food and she loves a good belly rum and will happily roll over to have this happen.  She likes to go for car rides and is good about being bathed and enjoys being brushed. Livi will need an adult only home and does best in a quiet home will. Her new person will need to know that she is shy and may always be cautious around new people and in new situations.  She will do best in a cat free home, but could enjoy living with easy going dogs that will respect her. She loves to play fetch and is hopefully of getting out for walks or having fetch time in a back yard to help her lose some weight. A training consult is included prior to her adoption. You can meet with Livi at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day.

Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
