The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of Day is Lilly (107294). She is a great young dog who previously lived outside only. She is a one year old Australian Shepherd mix who walks very well on her leash and has started learning her basic obedience commands of sit, shake, drop and fetch. She has lived with other dogs as well as older children in her previous home and her play style can be very physical at times. She also may tend to run after and herd small children. She has lived with cats in the past but chased them, which was not fun for the cats! Because she lived outdoors in a rural area the sights, sounds and people may be overwhelming for her; she would do best in a home that has the time and patience to continue her positive training so she can meet her potential of being a great canine citizen. You can meeet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722) www.oregonhumane.org.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Avialibility is subject to prior adoption.
