The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Leo. This sturdy fella is looking for someone to add a bright chapter to his long story. Leo has spent some time fending for himself and surviving anyway he could. Thankfully Leo lived in a neighborhood with some generous cat-loving folk. When Leo started looking less-than-his-perfect-self one day a good Samaritan brought him to a vet where he was diagnosed as FIV+. He then made his way to the Oregon Humane Society and has been on the mend ever since. Leo hasn't let his story damper his spirit however. He is an affectionate, loyal and loving feline. Leo is a quiet man looking to spend the rest of his long life being spoiled like he rightfully deserves.  His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.

You can visit with Leo at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat. Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.

Adopt any adult cat or kitten and take home a second cat or kitten FREE! Due to popular demand, this offer has been extended indefinitely. The Oregon Humane Society is stocked with lots of kittens and adult cats who all need wonderful, caring homes.

Kittens are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside at Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. They all live in “colony rooms” with their fellow felines. Dogs are also available at the Westside Adoption Center.  If you want know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. OHS dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility.  Visiting and adoption hours for both kittens and dogs are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday at the Westside Adoption Center.

Every Tuesday the Oregon Humane Society offers an adoption special for people age 60 and up. A select group of 20 pets will be available for adoption to seniors at no charge every Tuesday. All other pets will have their adoption fees reduced by $50 when they are adopted by individuals over 60 on Tuesday.
