Lady is a special cat who will take some time getting used to another new home, but once she settles in her real personality will begin to shine. She is even know to occasionally talk to you. She will do best in an quiet adult only home, or one with older cat savvy children that can respect her need for independence and space of her own. Show Lady kindness and she will learn to show you love!

Lady is the Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day. She is an independent-natured girl who appreciates routine and waits patiently for her food without much fuss. The shelter environment (a vast difference from the routine that makes her feel secure) is stressful for her and she longs to feel safe again with the ones she loves. Lady is the sort who bonds to a single person or perhaps a couple and thrives on quality one-on-one time. She can be shy and distrusting of strangers. She enjoys being petted by her favorite people but has never really gotten used to being picked up and does enjoy having time to herself on occasion. Lady has tried to make friends with other animals in her past but has always been rejected. All she wants is loyal friends who will love and understand her! Lady would do best in a quiet home with no small children. Show her kindness and be the light of her life! You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption time ends one hour prior to closing each day.

Lady’s adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
