The Oregpm Humane Society''s Dog of the Day is Lucy (115751). She is a young, activet wo year oldi German Shepherd mix in search of a dog-experienced home where she can blossom! She is a very sweet girl, but she can be very nervous in new situations. Once she is warmed up, Lucy becomes rambunctious and may bark to demand that you play with her! Because of her sensitive personality, Lucy will need to find a home with older children who will understand her needs. Lucy really likes fetching and playing with her toys, which is a great way to get out some of her energy! Additional training, like the classes we offer at the Oregon Humane Society will also help Lucy learn how to be a polite, well-adjusted girl. She does get along with other dogs and may do well with a canine buddy in her new home. If you have a resident dog a pet meet between the two dogs is essential. A training consultation is included prior to Lucy's adoption. Come meet Lucy and see what a great girl she is, you can visit with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722) oregonhumane.org.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
