The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Loki (87628). He is a nine year old German Shepherd mix. Before coming to the Oregon Humane Society, he was overfed and therefore he became overweight, and he will need help in his new home with his new low-fat diet and with getting plenty of exercise. Loki loves people, and he is very outgoing and social. He has had some training and knows his commands very well. At times he can be possessive over toys and food. For this reason we are requesting a home with adults or perhaps older children who would respect his space while he's eating or playing with his toys. He is a great dog and will make a fantastic companion for a laid back person who enjoys daily walks in the neighborhood. A training consultation is included in his adoption.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter microchip ID, collar and I.D. tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
