The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Kelly Kapowski (shelter #141116). She is an independent older lady looking for a home where she can relax and receive all of the attention she craves. Her history with other cats is mixed, so she might be happiest as the queen of her castle. She has never had experience with dogs or kids before, and due to her swank personality, Kelly might be happiest in either an adult only, dog-free home or one with older, more cat-savvy kids. Kelly can be affectionate, but on her own terms; for the most part, though, she enjoys napping in her favorite spots and making new friends. She has many stories to tell about her past adventures, but no one to tell them to. Could that someone be you? You can meet her today at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption time ends one half hour prior to closing each day.
