The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Keenan (11628). He needs a family with have experience with Shepherds and are to looking to add one to their home? Keenan is a sweet older boy who is looking for a loving, caring home. He still has plenty of energy and would enjoy going for regular walks and games of fetch. Keenan LOVES tennis balls, but he doesn't like staring contests. Once he feels comfortable, Keenan may give kisses and likes to sit at your feet to relax after a long day. He likes affection to be on his own terms; he's not a fan of all that "touchy feely" stuff like hugs, but gentle petting is just great. He does bark at noises, so if you have lots of activity outside your windows Keenan will be sure to tell you all about it! Keenan needs to find an adult-only home who knows just what a Shepherd likes in life. If this home sounds like yours, come have a chat with Keenan today. A training consultation is included prior to Keenan's adoption to help you get off to a great start! He also comes with a crate, a bed, a free swim session at Doggie Paddle, a 1 hour post-adoption consultation, and some cool toys! You can meet Keenan at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm Thursday-Saturday.
