The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Karen (115546)! She is a nine year old Labrador who is definitely a sight for sore eyes with her unique brindle coat that would like nothing more to be brushed lovingly every day. She is a mellow girl and would appreciate a calm and quiet household for her to live out her golden years. Sometimes Karen is a little nervous around strangers, especially when they move too quickly so older children are recommended in her next home. Though we have no history on how Karen is with cats, she does seem to like having doggy companions and has been enjoying being with the other dogs at Lexi Dog. If there is a resident canine friend at your house, it will be necessary to have a pet meet with the two animals prior to adoption. If you are searching for is a sweet soul mate that will watch late night movies with you on the couch, but also encourage you to take a nice weekend hike at your local park then ask for Karen! She promises to not disappoint you. You can meet her at our Westside Adoption Center at Lexi Dog, 6100 SE Macadam Ave, Portland (503-245-4353).
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
