The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Jolly. He is a seven month old Terrier mix who is looking for his best friend for life. He is ready to do all sorts of fun things together: go for walks, play fun games, learn new tricks, and have great times together. Jolly is at a good age to begin learning how to become a well-mannered canine citizen. We would recommend the Basic Manners class offered by the Oregon Humane Society so you can learn together while learning about each other as you spend time doing all the things best friends do. Jolly will need to go home with older children who understand that he is a dog, not a stuffed animal! He may be particular about his dog friends and may do be best as an only dog. If there is already a resident canine in your family, a pet meet will be essential prior to adoption. You can meet with Jolly at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 to 7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 to 9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day.
