The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Jessie Girl. She is a very sweet, gentle six year old American Pit Bull in search of a quiet and patient home. Jessie has had a hard life recently and she will need help re-learning that the world is a fun place. Once she knows you, Jessie really shows her goofy side and will play and bounce around like a puppy. When she is in a new situation, though, Jessie gets scared and sometimes is too afraid even to walk on her leash. In her foster home, Jessie learned to sit and shake, and she absolutely loves lying on the couch playing with her stuffed toys. This sweetie will need a home without children or other animals where she can be the center of attention. Once Jessie is comfortable she will be a fantastic companion and will bring endless joy to her new people. Medical and training consultations are provided prior to Jessie's adoption. To see her video go to: http://www.oregonhumane.org/adopt/detail.asp?animalID=141208. You can meet with Jessie at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.
Her adoption fee includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
