The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Jay (shelter #132796). He is a two year old Australian Cattledog mix who loves to run, play, and do anything active. Once Jay gets going, it can be a little difficult for him to settle down. He will need to get plenty of exercise each day. He knows how to sit, shake hands, and go down. When Jay is down he will immediately roll over on his back for belly rubs! Now he only needs more manners training to assist him in learning the proper greeting is not to jump up. Once Jay gets over his initial excitement he is much better at staying down. He will need to be in a home with children old enough and large enough to handle his exuberant spirit and zest for EVERYTHING! If you're looking for a running, hiking, biking, or agility partner, Jay is the one for you. You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10 am to 9 pm on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day.
The adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption
