Jackson is a very handsome fellow and like many cats is a bit overwhelmed by new situations and will take a while to adjust to his new home. But once he becomes comfortable you'll find he likes to have his head scratched and "makes biscuits" to show his comfort in his new home! He's lived with both dogs and other cats in his previous home!

The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day Jackson. He is a sweet seven year old gentleman looking for his new forever home! New situations and strangers can sometimes overwhelm Jackson, so he will need someone able to give him as much time and space as he needs in order to adjust to his new home. Once he feels comfortable, Jackson loves head scratches and will make "biscuits" for his closest friends. He previously lived with other cats and dogs and seemed to have gotten along very well, so he might enjoy having a furry friend to keep him company. Jackson seemed to prefer older kids in his former home, as younger children stressed him out. Could this playful and independent fella be the missing piece to your puzzle? You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are Sun-Wed 10-7 and Thurs-Sat 10-9. Adoption hours are Sun-Wed 10-6:30 and Thurs-Sat 10-8:30.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
