The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Jacque (111933). He is a ten month old Chihuahua. Jacque is a gentle and shy young man looking for a quiet adult only home. He has not been exposed to a lot of city sights, sounds and people and will need an owner who will have the patience to help him become accustomed to experiences that are a part of city life. His new human best friend will also need to be willing to take things slowly because Jacque might feel overwhelmed. His worry of new situations may cause house training to be more difficult. Jacque may do best in a home with a well socialized canine companion to help him feel secure. If you have a resident dog, it will be necessary to bring him for a pet met with Jacque prior to adoption. A training consultation is included with his adoption. You can meet with Jacque at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-258-7722). www.oregonhumane.org.
His adoption fee includes /neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
