The Oregon Humane Society's Dog of the Day is Jackson (116173). He is a shy little two year old Chihuahua that is looking for his perfect forever home. He needs a parent that will teach him the ways of the world and get him to understand not everything is quite as scary as it seems. His adopter will also need to understand that because he is such a small guy, only eight and half pounds, he can be a little defensive when being approached too quickly! Jackson would be more than happy to give his undying love for the right home as long as they know he needs time and patience to come around. Jackson has lived with dogs in the past and wouldnt mind meeting future furry brothers and sisters here at the shelter.v However, small children are too overwhelming for Jackson so he should go to an adult only home. A training consultation will be included prior to his adoption to go over his shyness with strangers. Come meet Jackson at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland (503-285-7722) www.oregonhumane.org.
His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
