Hephaestus is a handsome red tabby that is really missing his past home. He needs a quiet place to live. Older cat savvy children would be ok and he is missing his brothers. He also has lived with easy going dogs.

The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Hephaestus. This little man is feeling a little unsure, as he's never been separated from his person nor his brothers before. He has a gentle disposition and shows affection to those who show him kindness. Hephaestus just needs a quiet, easygoing home where he will feel safe and secure. Commotion overwhelms him so a home where there are no small children is recommended for him. However, he has a positive history with other cats and easygoing dogs. Show Hephaestus what it means to be loved! (In Greek mythology Hephaestus was known for creating the first woman from clay!) You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday; adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
