The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Helios. This is the first time Helios has ever been on his own, and hopefully it will be the last. He is used to being in the company of other cats and has even lived with a dog. A buddy may help him to calm his nerves during this period of transition in his life. Helios speaks when he is afraid but is quick to purr when he realizes he is in the company of well-meaning friends. He may do best in a quiet, mature home with not a lot of commotion. Be a friend to Helios and brighten his days! He is currently living with other cats Bettys Playhouse at the Oregon Humane Society and seems to be doing ok. But if you are a lover of orange tabbys this four year old long haired fellow is more than ready to start a venture in his forever home. A nice soft bed, some new friends that will give him time to settle in and lots of TLC will make this big fellow a happy kitty!

You can meet with him at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday; and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoption hours end one half hour prior to closing each day. His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.
