The Oregon Humane Society’s Cat of the Day is Helen Haberdasher. If you are a bit of a homebody who just would like a cat to cuddle with than she could be just the little friend that you seek. She is a timid and quiet (but exceptionally sweet) older lady who would really just like to find a gentle person to bond with. She finds the shelter very overwhelming and is anxious to find her new family. Her ideal home would be one without other pets or young children, quiet, and indoors only. In her previous home, she enjoyed giving kisses, snuggling in bed, and getting pets. Could Helena be your kindred spirit? You can meet with her at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Visiting hours are 10-7 on Sunday-Wednesday and 10-9 on Thursday-Saturday. Adoptions end one half hour prior to closing each day.

She has a senior  adoption fee of $12 includes spay, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
