The Oregon Humane Society’s Dog of the Day is Hefe. He is a one and half year old Mini Australian Shepherd. Hefe is a sweet and active boy who is still adjusting to the world around him. He loves to be on the go but is searching for someone to continue his training and socialization. He can be worried in new places and will need things to be taken slowly until he feels comfortable. Hefe is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, he would prefer to be the center of attention and not have to share his space. If you have herding breed experience and would like to get to know more about Hefe don't miss your chance. A training consultation is included prior to his adoption. Come visit Hefe at the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland 503-285-7722. Viewing hours are 10-7 Sun-Wed and 10-9 Thurs-Sat. Adoption hours are 10-6:30 Sun-Wed and 10-8:30 Thurs-Sat.

His adoption fee includes neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS ID tag, initial vaccines, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support! Availability is subject to prior adoption.

Dogs are also available at the Oregon Humane Society’s Westside Adoption Center located inside at Lexi Dog Boutique and Social Club, 6100 SW Macadam Ave., Portland. If you want know if your potential new best friend gets along with other dogs, this is the place to visit. OHS dogs spend their days in a large group area alongside other dogs in a doggie day care facility. Visiting and adoption hours are 10-6 Monday-Friday; and 10-4 Saturday-Sunday at the Westside Adoption Center.
